Brazilian wax or bikini wax: which one do you book?

A bikini wax tidies the line. A Brazilian removes more. If you are not sure, start with the bikini wax and talk it through in the room. Nothing is decided for you.

Every other waxing service, from a $10 lip wax to full legs, is on the full waxing price list.

How long should the hair be before a Brazilian wax?

About a quarter of an inch, which is roughly two weeks of growth after shaving. Shorter than that and the wax has nothing to grip.

Does a Brazilian wax hurt?

Some. Less than you expect after the first time, and less again if you keep to a regular schedule. If you are sensitive, skip caffeine beforehand.

What should I skip around the appointment?

Skip retinoids for a few days beforehand. For 24 hours afterwards, keep heat, sun, swimming and heavy exercise off the area. That matters in a Lake Livingston summer, so plan a lake day around your appointment rather than straight after it.

Can I book a Brazilian wax on my period?

Yes. You may be more sensitive than usual. It is entirely your call.
